Those of us without the coveted 20:20 vision who enjoy faking it like we do with our contact lenses, know it can sometimes get a bit tedious keeping up the prescribed level of care for our eyes while travelling. Bringing along extra solution, trying to stick to the 12 hour wear time, not jumping into the pool for fear of contamination can all get pretty tiresome when you're trying to live your best vacation life. But fear not.
So as I'm getting ready to take my next trip, I stumbled to the realisation that there are a ton of pre-trip rituals we all take part in that are just a little bit weird. I'm not talking about doing the essentials like checking and then double checking (and often triple checking) our flight times, because, let's face it, you can never be too sure. 'm talking about those practices that are actually a bit off the wall in reality, but seem like a rite of passage before our trip.
Answer me honestly; how many times have you psyched yourself up to book that dream holiday only to have the plane ticket price slap you right in the face and settle you firmly back on Earth? Yeah, we've all been there.
So that's it, you've decided on your next holiday destination, you've picked your dates, your flights are booked and now it's time to figure out your accommodation. This bit can be a bit stressful as we all want value for money when choosing where to stay, and if we're not careful we can end up with what I call 'bookers regret.'
